This place misdiagnosed my 2004 Camry and could have been an expensive repair. I was experiencing vibrations while driving and they said it was my torque converter. I took it to a transmission shop and they said it was my CV Axles. The torque converter would have been $2000 more than the CV axles. I even told them it could be the CV Axles and to check them over. Also my wife's Honda Civic needed a new oil drain plug and they said they couldn't replace the plug and that it would need a new oil pan for $600. The owner from Chips Auto just happened to stop in and looked at the car and said it just needed a new plug for $15. These 2 instances really make me question the mechanics know…

I took my car here because the anti lock brakes were kicking in when they shouldn’t. I explained this when I called to set the appointment. They called and said my pads and rotors looked new. I explained they were new. They changed them anyway at $600+. I picked it up and it was not fixed. I took it back and they did fix the anti locks for another $180. When I questioned why the pads and rotors were changed since they were new (which, again, they admitted were new before the “repair”) the owner told me I was being difficult. Would not recommend.

October: Because they're so honest and upfront I took my wife's Explorer in to deal with a heating issue. Again, I am not a mechanically inclined guy so I trust they will treat me right and they did. Replaced the blending motor in about 90 minutes. As before the price was right and had no complaints. It's simply a great place! August: I was looking for a reliable and reputable auto garage.
